DAYTON, Ohio—Several attorneys from Faruki Ireland & Cox P.L.L. have been recognized for their noteworthy talents in law in the 2012 edition of Ohio Super Lawyers magazine. Charlie Faruki has again been selected as one of the Top 10 lawyers in the Ohio Super Lawyer poll. He has made the Top 10 list consecutively, since the poll began. Partners Jeff Ireland, Jeff Cox, Ron Raether, Dan Donnellon and Tom Kraemer were also named Ohio Super Lawyers for 2012. Faruki, a trial lawyer with a focus on business litigation, was one of the founders of Faruki Ireland & Cox in 1989 and is a past president of the Dayton Bar Association. He is a past chair of the Ohio State Bar Association’s Federal Courts and Practice Committee, and serves as chair of the governing council of its Antitrust Law Section. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. Faruki is also the chair of the Supreme Court of Ohio’s Commission on Continuing Legal Education.
A founding partner of Faruki Ireland & Cox, Ireland’s practice includes antitrust, advertising and trademarks, products liability, employment and class actions. Ireland is currently serving as president of the Dayton Bar Association. He is also listed in Chambers USA, America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. He has tried and handled cases throughout Ohio and the United States, and is a Fellow of the International Society of Barristers. Ireland also recently received the University of Dayton School of Law Alumni Association’s Distinguished Alumni Award.
Cox has tried cases in both state and federal courts, and has handled numerous arbitrations and mediations before the American Arbitration Association in various jurisdictions. His practice includes class action defense, privacy and data protection, intellectual property litigation, federal regulatory investigations, products liability, media, appropriations, advertising, competition and other business litigation. Cox is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, and a Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, the Ohio State Bar Foundation and the Dayton Bar Foundation. He has been recognized as an Ohio Super Lawyer every year of the selection. He serves on the Dayton Bar Association’s Federal Practice and Civil Trial Practice Committees. A member of the Dayton Lawyers Club, Cox is past president of the Carl D. Kessler Inn of Court. Cox currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Chaminade Julienne.
Kraemer represents clients in a variety of complex commercial matters, including intellectual property, securities, construction, antitrust and environmental litigation. Since 1999, Kraemer has been an adjunct professor at the University of Dayton School of Law, where he teaches legal writing and civil trial practice, and coordinates the school’s intellectual property moot court program. He has spoken on various aspects of intellectual property litigation at numerous seminars and has been named an Ohio Super Lawyer since 2007.
Raether has handled numerous matters involving technology-related issues that have spanned several legal areas, including antitrust, contracts, employment, trademark, domain name disputes, and federal and state privacy statutes. He has been a featured speaker on the use of technology in the courtroom and electronic discovery and has been active in organizations designed to assist technology entrepreneurs.
Donnellon joined Faruki Ireland & Cox as a partner in the Cincinnati office in October 2010. He has devoted his practice to trial work concentrating on business and civil injunctions. Donnellon is admitted to the state bar in Ohio, the federal bar in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Reitz’s practice ranges from quasi-contractual disputes to complex business torts and employment related issues. He also focuses on data security and privacy matters, contract disputes, and first amendment issues, including defamation, access to news and public records, and the Freedom of Information Act. Reitz is a recent Dayton Business Journal 40 Under 40 Award Winner. He is a national member of The Order of Barristers and is also an active member of the Carl D. Kessler Inn of Court, Generation Dayton, the American Association for Justice, the Incarnation Catholic Church Young Adults Group, and the Dayton, Ohio, Federal, and American Bar Associations.
Wright’s areas of practice include advertising and commercial/products liability matters; he also has been involved in federal multi-district litigation and technology-related litigation. In addition to being a Barrister in the Potter Stewart American Inn of Court, Wright is an active member of the American Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association and Cincinnati Bar Association. He is a graduate of the 2010 class of Leadership Dayton. He has been chosen by the Dayton Business Journal as one of the top 40 business professionals under the age of 40 in Southwest Ohio and has been selected as an Ohio Rising Star by the Law & Politics Magazine every year since 2006.
